2024 Women's Series is here!
We want to encourage more women to race the Combine, and as an incentive we are running a simple points-based award series, rewarding both results and participation. The series encompasses ALL grades and ALL races on the calendar. The riders with the top 3 accumulated points at the end of the season will win prizes (actual prizes tbc).
Here is how it works:
start a race = 1 point, plus...
Top 3 placing for all scratch races (1st = 5 points, 2nd = 4 pts, 3rd = 3 pts)
Top 3 placings for each category in the ITT (1st = 5 points, 2nd = 4 pts, 3rd = 3 pts)
Top 8 female placings in handicaps (1st = 5 pts, 2nd = 4 pts, 3rd to 8th = 3 pts)
Start 3 or more races = bonus 5 points
Start 5 or more races = bonus 10 points
Promoted up a grade = bonus 5 points (judges' discretion)
Top 3 on aggregate points at end of last race = series winners.
Presentations to be made at the end of the final race of the year (Sep Hawthorn Race)
